A careful first step

Headache patterns deserve attention, context, and honest boundaries

Recurring headaches can affect focus, sleep, work, and time with family. GPM offers a musculoskeletal evaluation to see how much of your headache pattern relates to the neck and muscles, and to help you find the right next step — with us or with the right specialist.

What You May Be Noticing

You may be tracking how often headaches occur, how long they last, how they affect daily activity, and whether neck movement or other experiences appear alongside them. These observations are useful history, but they do not determine the type or cause of a headache.

What Your Evaluation Tells Us

Your symptoms have a story. During a thorough evaluation, we take time to understand how your concern began, your health history, how you move, and what you’re feeling today — so we can explain how much of your concern relates to the muscles and joints we treat and map out the right next step for you.

What May Be Considered

If the evaluation supports a musculoskeletal care discussion, your provider may talk with you about Chiropractic Care or Pain Control. GPM does not claim that these options are appropriate for every headache or migraine presentation.

Important Boundary

Gilbert Physical Medicine is not an emergency service. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, including new weakness, numbness, or loss of function, seek prompt medical care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does neck tension mean my headaches come from my neck?

No. Symptoms may occur together without establishing cause. Evaluation and, when appropriate, medical referral provide needed context.

Does GPM manage every type of headache or migraine?

No. GPM will explain whether musculoskeletal care is appropriate and will recommend another type of provider when it is a better fit.

Can chiropractic care guarantee fewer headaches?

No. No frequency, speed, or outcome can be guaranteed.

Should I use this page for a new severe headache?

No. This page is not emergency guidance. Call 911 for a medical emergency and seek prompt medical care for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
