Get back with a plan
Your sport matters, and so does how you return to it
Whether you are training, competing, or simply staying active, an injury can disrupt more than a workout. GPM evaluates your current symptoms, movement, activity demands, and goals before building a realistic next-step plan.
What You May Be Noticing
Sports-related concerns may include pain, stiffness, swelling, reduced motion, loss of confidence, or difficulty with a movement that used to feel routine. Symptoms may follow a specific event or build with repeated activity. They do not identify a diagnosis by themselves.
What Your Evaluation Tells Us
Your symptoms have a story. During a thorough evaluation, we take time to understand how your concern began, your health history, how you move, and what you’re feeling today — so we can build a plan that actually fits you. The vast majority of people we see are a great fit for care here.
What May Be Considered
Depending on the evaluation, a plan may involve Sports Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Chiropractic Care, or another verified GPM service. Listing a service does not guarantee candidacy or a return-to-sport timeline.
Important Boundary
Gilbert Physical Medicine is not an emergency service. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, including new weakness, numbness, or loss of function, seek prompt medical care.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only work with competitive athletes?
No. The evaluation process can be relevant to people returning to recreational, fitness, work, or sport activity when GPM care is appropriate.
Can you clear me to return on a specific date?
No date or outcome is guaranteed. Recommendations depend on your evaluation and progress.
Will I need to stop all activity?
Not necessarily. Activity recommendations should be individualized after evaluation.
What if my injury needs another specialist?
Most sports injuries we see are a great fit for care here. If a specialist would serve you better, we will help point you in the right direction.
